I went out to the orchard this morning with William to check on the progress of the hull split. Our first variety of almonds (Nonpareil) are drying out nicely, and harvest will be here very soon! The almonds are delicious right off the tree, although, I think they are better once they're completely dried out. (If you asked my kids, they seem to love them even while the almonds are still green.)
